Honda Civic – Engine, Interior and Exterior Review

Honda is one of the largest car companies not only in Japan but also in the world. Honda is not only great as a car company since Honda is also active in other fields such as motorcycles, engines, mountain bikes, robots and airplanes.

But the grandeur and reputation in the automotive field particularly in car can be no doubt anymore. This can be evidenced by its role in Formula racing or F1, the greatness of Honda in F1 car race was so great in the years 1983 to 1992. One of the legendary drivers who have ever felt the greatness of the Honda car was Ayrton Senna.

One of the popular Honda cars besides Accord is Civic. Even the Honda Civic was the award winning best-selling car in America in 2008. The first car production is in 1972 and since then this car always changes from year to year. In the 2010, Honda released the latest type of Civic.

Some of the latest types of Honda Civic 2010 that you can choose are DX / DX-VP, LX / LX-S and EX / EX-L. However, there is no significant difference among them. And here is the review of Honda Civic EX-L 2010.

Engine

For the Engine, Honda Civic EX-L 2010 uses 1.8-L, SOHC i-VTEC (10.5:1 compression ratio; four valves per cylinder). The power that can be generated by this car is 140 HP (104 kW) @ 6,300 rpm; 128 ft lb of torque (174 Nm) @ 4,300 rpm.

Exterior

The exterior of this car looks simple but elegant, though not as fancy as a luxury car like the Acura. The part that makes Honda Civic EX-L 2010 special is a sunroof that can be operated with just one touch. Also on the exterior, the car equipped with an Integrated Rear Window Antenna, Power Side Mirrors, Variable Intermittent Windshield Wipers, Heated Side Mirrors and 16-Inch Alloy Wheels.

Interior and Safety Features

On the interior, features that offered are fairly complete and interesting. You will not only get the convenience but also entertainment. So you do not bother to upgrade your car anymore. Some available features in the interior of this car are a complete audio system that can play MP3 via CD or USB, also six speakers scattered throughout the room of the car. The most interesting is the SVC or speed-sensitive volume control. Audio system is one of the superior features in this Honda Civic Car.

Some other features that are also quite interesting are the Auto-Lock Power Door, Auto Power Windows, Vanity Mirrors of the driver and front passenger, Maintenance Minder System and so forth.

Whereas for the safety, you do not have to be worried because the Honda Civic EX-L 2010 equipped with seat belts in front and rear seats even for drivers and front passengers equipped with Automatic Tensioning System seat belts and seat belts reminder. Airbags are also available not only in front but also beside the seats. Some other safety features are ABS or Anti-lock Braking System, Vehicle Stability Assist, LATCH and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
