BMW 535i Review – Modern Exclusive Sedan
The BMW 535i is the sixth generation of the new BMW 5 series that has been marketed worldwide. Its appearance is different from its predecessor; the shape is more stylish and larger. The first impression on the interior is similar to its brother, the BMW 7 series and it makes this car more luxurious and exclusive.
BMW calls the BMW 535i as an executive sedan with sport style and can run up to 240 km / hr. The BMW 535i is equipped with 8 speed steptronic automatic transmission which allows the driver shifted gears manually via paddle shift on the right and left of the steering wheel.
Advanced Technology Features
The BMW 535i is equipped with many latest technology features. But certainly, when you enter into the interior, you do not need the key or pressing the remote. When the remote is placed in the bag, the handle door can be opened directly. At night, in the handle of the doors, there is small LED light which can facilitate the driver and the passengers to know the position of the handle.
To start the engine, you also do not need a key. Simply press the circular button i.e. the start / stop button. To run the engine, the brakes pedal must be suppressed and the transmission must be in the “P” position. Once the engine runs, the steering wheel moves automatically to the predetermined position on the previous settings.
Although the dimension is sufficiently long, the BMW 535i can move with ease. The wheel axis range is 2968 mm which is the longest in its class and can give a better comfort, particularly for rear passengers.
Various features which can facilitate the driver are also available i.e. electrically parking brake. All can be done by pressing a button and you do not have to worry anymore if you suddenly stop in the hill that caused the car steps back. Parking brake can also be operated by pressing buttons on the stick of gear shifting.
In the middle of the dashboard is equipped with monitor screen which can be used to search for some of information such as displaying the situation in the back of the car, radio, manual and other information. Interior ambience looks luxurious with high-quality leather. BMW 535i also features a very relieved rear passenger seat.
Acceleration
This BMW car is a very powerful car when you begin to run this car and there will be no spin indication because it has been equipped with traction control. For the acceleration, from 0-400 meters, this car only needs 15.7 seconds. Meanwhile, for 60 – 100 km / h, the BMW 535i only needs 3.7 sec. With the distribution weight of 50:50 at the front and rear, makes this car easy to maneuver.
Suspension: Normal and Sport
The BMW 535i is equipped with 2 suspension modes, normal and sport. Sport mode is harder than normal mode but more stable. Gearshift can be done easily because the system is equipped with strepronic. The gear can be moved at any time, either to accelerate quickly and save fuel consumption. The BMW 535i is also equipped with adaptive headlights and comfort access.
Entertainment
For entertainment, the BMW 535i features LOGIC7 audio system with 16 speakers, 600 W power amplifier and Dolby Pro Logic. There are also a USB Audio connection and Bluetooth on this model. This car is also equipped with standard stability systems like DSC, ABS, DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), CBC (Cornering Brake Control), DBC (Dynamic Brake Control), Dry Braking Function, Fading Compensation and Start-Off Assistance.
In the market, the price for one unit of the BMW 535i is around $ 51,250 – $ 64,725 depending on the model you choose. If you have a limited budget, you may be interested to buy used BMW 5 series with the price around $ 7490 – $ 15450.
